The Audition @ The High will be filmed by Ordinary Sunday Productions LLC (An Emmy Award winning company)

The Audition @ The High is a two part performance reality theatre experience. The first part is a live filming of high school students auditioning for placement in the Spring performance at The Historic Boys and Girls High School, The High.  Part two, an actual live performance held at The Historic Boys and Girls High School which includes acting, dancing, and singing. This performance will be preceded by an edited film of the auditioning process from part one.  The evening captures students on film in anticipation of auditioning and then living out their dreams as a young performing artist before a live New York City audience.

Note: All teens from Department of Education Public schools in grades 8,9,10,11, and 12 may audition for The Audition @ The High. 

All talent will be asked to do movement sequences. Please bring comfortable clothing for dance movements. 

• Actors who move well should bring a one minute prepared monologue, dramatic or comic.
• Dancers will be given combinations at the main audition.
• Singers who move well should bring 16 bars of a song that shows your vocal range/talent.
  • (Bring your pre-recorded music if you need accompaniment.)

All students will be required to attend two rehearsals, Friday, May 10 and May 17, 2024 4:00PM to 6:30PM.  

The final performance will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 with one day performance and one evening performance at The Historic Boys and Girls High School.
