As you read, take notes on the phrasing the UN employs throughout the document and how it secures the legal prevention and punishment of genocide. Also ensure you're short responses are at least 5-7 sentences with textual evidence.

Watch the following videos/ read the following articles and answer the questions. Your responses should be at 5-7 sentences. Support your response with evidence from either. videos, personal experiences, or articles you may read for extra support. 5. Malcolm X had more of hands on approach where violence paired with protest was a way to get the point across. Martin Luther King had more of a peaceful, non-violent approach when protesting. Which approach do you feel is better to get the point across? Why?

1. The Nazis and people who agreed with them wanted to protect the German community from “inferior” races. Are there other examples in history or literature in which groups of people murdered innocent people in the name of “protecting” themselves? 4. The Holocaust is taught in history classes today so that people will never forget. Although it is not pleasant to hear about the murder of millions of people because of their religion, race, or beliefs, educators believe it is important to study. What can we learn from tragedy, and why is it important to study tragic history?

Imagine you lived in a society that 100% completely designed. From the way cars drive on the street to the way the government is ran, you choose the way people live in YOUR society. Write 7-14 sentences (1-2 paragraphs) describing what your society would look like if YOU were the dictator. Lately we have all been going through a stressful time dealing with COVID-19 and those who are affected by it. With this activity, I wanted to give you an outlet, a way you can express your feelings and plans for the future and what you would like to see when we are able to return to the out (if you never saw the movie HOME, you won’t understand that last reference… watch the movie). Using figurative language, create a short 2-3 line poem stating something uplifting or inspiring.Use only ONE figurative language device within your short poem.

We are going through tough times and we can always use uplifting words to help us get through the day. It also doesn't hurt to keep using figurative language. It will help us in the long run...........

Good morning future Kings and Queens of America... Hope you all are being safe through the scary times. For your first assignment I would like you to describe in detail how you are feeling. What have you been doing to stay safe? What information do you know about the Corona virus? Aside from schoolwork, what hobbies do you have to occupy your time in the house? Lastly, how are you feeling in general? Are you scared? "Chillin"? Concerned? Tell us how you feel.

There are many different ways to complete this assignment. You can:

-Write (or type rather) 7-14 sentences explaining how you feel during the pandemic of Corona Virus.

-Create a video (using your phone or can upload from YouTube) explaining how you feel. The video must be 45 seconds to 1 min and 30 seconds long. The video may be longer but no longer than 3 minutes.

-Record an audio message. The message may be 45 seconds to 1 min and 30 seconds long. The video may be longer but no longer than 2 minutes.
